The answer sheets in the ICSE/ISC examinations will bear the photographs and other unique identification details of students from this year. This initiative is taken to ensure transparency and smooth conduct of the tests. Till the year 2015, each examinee had to write his/her name and unique identification number (UID) along with the name of the subjects on the answer sheet booklets. From the year 2016, the answer sheet booklet a student will have his/her photograph, name and UID as well as the name of the subject printed on it. The number of pages of the answer sheet booklets will remain the same, i.e. 16 for ICSE and 20 for ISC. The portion of the booklet that will consist the name and photograph will be torn off and retained by the school council before the scripts are distributed for evaluation. This will be done to ensure confidentiality. This new system is introduced to prevent mistakes committed by students while writing their names and UID’s. It is also aimed at speeding up the examination system and making it more transparent.
