The Telegraph School Awards for Excellence , an initiative of The Telegraph Foundation recognizes the achievements of students and schools every year that have excelled in various fields and honours educationists and teachers who makes excellent contribution towards education. These awards are non-competitive in spirit and have been instituted to recognize the contribution of individuals and institutions.
This year the Award Ceremony will be conducted for two days:
- 17th Nov, 2015: All Merit, Honour Certificates in each category and scholarships will be presented at Vidya Mandir Auditorium at 10 in the morning.
- 21st Nov, 2015: Awards Ceremony will take place at Science City Auditorium at 10 in the morning.
Award Categories will include:
School Categories: Under School categories, awards will include:
- The Award for The School of The Year
- The Award for “A School that Cares”
- The Award for Excellence in Maintenance and Eco-Friendly Initiatives
- The Award for Excellence in Academics (Schools)
- The Award for Excellence in Extra-Curricular Activities
- The Award for Social Service
Individual categories: Under Individual categories, awards will include:
- The Award for Excellence in Academics (Student)
- The Award for All-Round Excellence (Student)
- The Award for Outstanding Talent
- The Award for Courage
- The Lifetime Achievement Award for a Teacher
- The Abhirup Bhadra Memorial “Thank You Baba-Ma” Award
- Honour for an Educationist
- The Shining Star Employee
The Telegraph Education Foundation awards ‘one-time scholarship’ to students who are in desperate need to financial assistance. For that they require to fare exceptionally well in class, put in sustained effort and show remarkable academic improvement compared to the previous year and should have the determination to get through school in spite of difficult circumstances.
