Atul scored 99 in mathematics and 98 in physics, computer science and Sanskrit besides a perfect scores 100 in chemistry. He attributes his success to the mock tests and coaching provided by his school. He even attended additional classes for IIT entrance examinations. Before scoring a perfect 100 in mathematics and physics, Madhav appeared for the KVTY exams in which he earned an all-India rank of 35. He aspires to become a researcher.
