Times NIE School Buzz reports events at various city schools:
- Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar: Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar, known for the best educational practices and e-governance, launched the ‘Student Dossier’. School Principal Ashok Kumar Pandey welcomed the dignitaries with his eloquent speech. A presentation on the student dossier which methodically traces the journey of student’s life in the school was given by the Vice President of MGRM. Parent Portal, a feature of the Power School Student Information System was also launched on this occasion. The vision behind this was to felicitate and improve communication between home and school. The parents were given hands on experience of using the portal. Class VII students received their Dossier from the School Principal and the guests. School chairperson graced the occasion.
- Tagore International School, East of Kailash: Tagore International School, East of Kailash hosted an exclusive performance by the Ming Hwa Yuan Arts and Cultural Group. The performance provided a rare opportunity of witnessing an international performance by a national troupe and to partake in a captivating inter-cultural experience, which enthralled the audience of eminent guests, students, parents and staff. The opera troupe showcased a 60-minute performance and presented two programmes- Lovebirds Spears and General of the Empire. School Principal thanked the Opera troupe artists and said that cultural partnership went a long way to promote internationalism in education.
- Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony: Summer Fields School, Kailash Colony celebrated its annual scholar’s ceremony which witnessed the felicitation of meritorious students who did the school proud. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of lamp by Chief Guest, Controller of Examinations, CBSE. The star students received certificates, ties and blazers from the Chief Guest who complimented them for their excellence. A precursor to the entire event was a cultural extravaganza put up by the students. The programme culminated with a vote of thanks.
- Happy Hours School, Pitampura: Happy Hours School, Pitampura celebrated its annual sports meet with enthusiasm and gusto. The students demonstrated yoga, aerobics and Zumba steps conveying the message of healthy living. The students participated in multiple games like caterpillar race, sack race, lemon& spoon race, 100m race, etc. The prizes were given away to the winners and they were applauded for their soaring spirits.
- Vishal Bharti Public School, Paschim Vihar: Vishal Bharti Public School, Paschim Vihar bagged the Dr. S. Radhakrishanan School Award for retaining the best teaching staff in the school. School Principal received the award on behalf of the school. The award ceremony was graced by the presence of dignitaries like Kirron Kher, Madhur Bhandarkar amongst others. The Principal applauded the staff for their relentless hard work and team efforts.
