Times NIE reports events at various city schools:
- Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad: Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad celebrated its founder’s day where in actor Sharmila Tagore presided over as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the chief guest. School Principal cum director presented the annual repertoire delineating the school’s achievements attained by the students in scholastic and co-scholastic areas. A vivid variety of craft were also exhibited displaying their creative efforts.
- Army Public School, Shankar Vihar:A delegation of students from Sri Lanka visited Army Public School, Shankar Vihar, as a part of a cultural youth exchange programme organised by the Sri Lankan Army. Their visit to India was a reciprocal gesture of a visit that Indian students undertook to Sri Lanka in the year 2012. The delegates were welcomed by the School Chairman and the School Principal. After the auspicious lamp lighting, the students of the school enthralled the overseas guests by showcasing Indian music and dance through a cultural extravaganza. The delegation was headed by 22 students and 5 escorts from Sri Lanka along with 10 students and 2 mentors form various Army Schools of India accompanied them on the visit to places of historic importance to strengthen the cross cultural ties and provide students of both countries a better opportunity to interact and understand each other.
- Khaitan Public School, Sahibabad: Khaitan Public School, Sahibabad have started a Discovery Spot Lab to kindle the desire of the students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). This new venture was inaugurated by the Associate Director of Computer Science Corporation, Noida at the school premises. A presentation on the Discovery Spot Lab Curriculum covering 3D Modelling & Printing, Video Game Development, Laser Communications and Fibre Optics, Android App Development, Mine Craft, Robotics and Electronics was showcased by Alex Whiteside from iSpace Inc. of USA.
- Ramkrishna Sr.Sec. School, Vikas Puri: Sec. School, Vikas Puri celebrated its annual function. School Principal welcomed the Chief Guest. The Principal read out the annual report highlighting the achievements of the school. Achievers in different fields were also felicitated with medals and certificates by the Chief Guest and other guest. The ballet ‘Shakti’-Women Empowerment was the highlight of the occasion.
- DAV Pushpanjali: DAV Pushpanjali celebrated its annual function ‘Samanvay’-A confluence of peace, harmony and love. The School Chairman presided over the function. All students of the school participated in the cultural programme with Zeal and enthusiasm.
