Times NIE reports events at various city schools:
- Mark’s Sr. Sec. School, Janakpuri: St. Mark’s Sr. Sec. School, Janakpuri organised the prize distribution ceremony for the 16th on-the-spot painting competition 2015. The programme commenced with a colourful show and an orchestra which was followed by a prize distribution ceremony by the school chairman. Individual prizes for all classes and rolling trophies at primary and senior secondary level were given to all the prize winners from various schools. Ramjas Day Boarding School, Anand Parbat; SS Mota Janakpuri; Columbia Foundation Vikas Puri have been declared as winners collectively for collage-making competition.
- The Mann School, Holambi: The Mann School, Holambi celebrated its 27thcelebration of excellence. The Chief Guest hoisted the school flag and took the salute at a march past by the students. School Principal read out the annual report. The school band presented a spellbound performance followed by a thrilling feat of gymnastics topped by exhilarating skills of horse-riding by boys and girls.
- Tagore International School, East of Kailash: Tagore International School, East of Kailash received the Delhi Gaurav Award (DGA) in the Best International School category in a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan. Students from nominee schools and parents were present at the event. The school was also given an opportunity to perform in a cultural programme. The school choir sang the National Anthem at the end of the function. School Principal emphasised that the 51-year old progressive institution has become a firm pillar of Delhi and have been contributing a conscious value-ridden community to the capital over the years.
- Jiva Public School, Faridabad: Jiva Public School, Faridabad organised the farewell ceremony for the outgoing students of Class XII. The programme commenced with a havan to invoke divine ambience so that each and every student appearing for the board examinations be bestowed with blessings. The stage was there after set for fun bonanza with the theme ‘Udaan’ in the backdrop. A mesmerizing talent round stole the heart of audience. The Director too wished the outgoing students a bright future ahead.
- Happy Model School, Janakpuri: Happy Model School, Janakpuri celebrated its annual function ‘Expressions-2015’ with the theme ‘Festivals of India’. The cultural programme restored the glory of Indian culture and depicted variety of Indian Festivals, rooted the spectators to their seats. The event fostered the spirit of ‘Unity in Diversity’ exploring the magical world of togetherness, love and bonding. School Principal congratulated the students for their excellent performance.
