Times NIE School Buzz reports events at various city schools:

  • Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh: Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh celebrated its annual event ‘Colosseum’ with the theme ‘One Vision: One World’ at the Chhatrasal stadium. The programme commenced with the riveting performance ‘Heal the world-A Desire: A Dream: A Vision.’ The annual report highlighted the academic and cultural achievements of the school students. School Principal gave the vote of thanks.
  • Sachdeva Public School, Pitampura: Sachdeva Public School, Pitampura celebrated its annual day and prize distribution ceremony. This was followed by the school presenting Sare Jahan Se Achha and the flag drill. The juniors talked about the importance of healthy habits through their musical presentation while the seniors highlighted on the theme of Vasudev Kutumbkam through their dance drama. The meritorious students were given mementoes and certificates by the guests in recognition of their excellent performance in various curricular and co-curricular fields. The annual school magazine ‘The Quest’ was released during the function. School Principal congratulated the staff and students on their commendable performance.
  • KR Mangalam World School, GK-II: KR Mangalam World School, GK-II celebrated its annual fiesta ‘Culturati-A Melange.’ School Principal welcomed the chief guest. The students of Class V presented yoga performance ‘Adwaita-The art of well-being’ while the students of classes VI and VII showcased the fan drill ‘Fanning the fervour’. Various track events in senior as well as junior categories were held. The function concluded with the students presenting the cultural ethos of Indian art of living through the fusion ‘Montage-The Dances of India’
  • DPS RK Puram: DPS RK Puram held the closing ceremony of the 8th Armaan Dogra Memorial Global inter-school football tournament. School Principal felicitated the chief guest. The tournament was a three day event in which eight schools took part. The event concluded with the felicitation of referees and coaches. The cultural programme constituted of a soulful performance by the school choir and a Punjabi folk dance.
  • Guru Nanak Public School, Punjabi Bagh: Guru Nanak Public School, Punjabi Bagh organised its founder’s day celebrations. School chairman, Manager and Principal welcomed the guests. The programme commenced an inter-school Gurbani Kirtan competition in which 500 students from 30 Delhi Sikh public schools took part. The event was held at primary, middle and senior levels. A turban tying and poetry recitation was also organised followed by speeches and declamation. School chairman delivered the vote of thanks.
