Times NIE School Buzz reports events at various city schools:

  • Modern School, Vasant Vihar: Modern School, Vasant Vihar organised an inter-school science competition ‘Mod Socrates’ for Classes IV to X. Seven leading schools of Delhi participated in the event. The aim of the competition was to provide every student with an opportunity to display their scientific temper and skills acquired over their learning years. The teams were divided in three groups-junior, middle and senior. Each team was given a scientific task to complete within the stipulated time.
  • Indrapastha World School, Paschim Vihar: Indrapastha World School, Paschim Vihar celebrated its annual day. School Principal spoke about the growth of the school along with the achievements of the students in all spheres. The inaugural dance witnessed a spectrum of dance forms all paying tribute to Goddess Durga. The highlight of the evening was the ballet Surya Putra-Karna which saw participation of nearly 1500 students. Chairperson and Chairman of Indrapastha Schools, Director and other dignitaries graced the occasion.
  • Adarsh Public School, Bali Nagar: Adarsh Public School, Bali Nagar held its annual sports meet. Chairman of Adarsh Group of Schools declared the meet open. An array of track events, relay and fun races were held. School Principal, in his speech laid stress to inculcate the values, discipline and sporting spirit to accept challenges so that children of today can enjoy the exhilaration of victory. Enthusiastic participation by teachers was also witnessed in 100m race. Founder Principal felicitated the achievers.
  • Amity International School, Sector-1, Vasundhara: Amity International School, Sector-1, Vasundhara organised the investiture ceremony for the session 2016-17. School Principal and Sports Advisor honoured the newly elected office bearers by pinning official badges and handing over the school flag to the head boy and head girl. The day also saw the citation ceremony for its outgoing batch of class XII.
  • Himalaya Public Sr. Sec. School, Rohini: Mohit Agnihotri, a student of Himalaya Public Sr. Sec. School, Rohini, brought laurels to the school by winning silver medal in 10m Air Rifle youth men (ISSF) team and a bronze in 10m Air rifle junior men (ISSF) in the second sports craft shooting championship 2015 at national level among 6000 participants. He also emerged as winner in 10m Air Rifle Youth Men (ISSF) winning gold and silver medal in 10m air rifle junior men (NR) in XXXI Delhi state shooting championship 2015 at state level among 2000 participants. His achievements were applauded by Principal in the special assembly.
  • JD Tytler School, Rajinder Nagar: JD Tytler School, Rajinder Nagar participated in the athletic meet organised by Bharat Special Olympics. Around 52 schools and 888 participants competed for various events. The students of JD Tytler Learning Center captured gold, bronze and silver medals in different competitions.
