The Times NIE Newspaper’s Meet proved to be the ideal platform for budding journalists to hone their skills. Around 400 students from 200 schools across Delhi and NCR interacted with Delhi Police Commissioner and senior TOI staff, asking questions on a wide range of issues like seasoned journalists.
The programme commenced in the morning with workshops on personality development. Aimed at encouraging a new generation of promising young journalists, the programme was divided into two parts: Evaluation exam and press conference. The press conference provided the school reporters to voice their opinions and concerns. At the end of the program me, the names of ten Times NIE Star Correspondents were announced. They were awarded with a badge, trophy, memento, certificate and gift hampers from Oxford University Press and Worlds of Wonder.
