In India there are around 35 Vedic Vidyalayas, with Uttar Pradesh accounting for eight of them. Vedic Vidyalayas are emerging as the latest trend these days. 400 children, aged between 9 and 11 visited Prayag (Allahabad) to appear for the entrance examination for 25 seats in two such Vedic schools. Most of the students were from Delhi, MP, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
