Plans are afoot to make yoga a mandatory part of the school curriculum from pre-school to post graduation all over the country. A meeting in Bengaluru chaired by HRD Minister Smriti Irani, discussed the proposal in detail. The minister was in town for an international yoga conference which was organised by Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandana Samsthana University. Basic and advanced education will be imparted with the HRD and Ayush departments covering a wide range of yoga perspectives.
