In order to promote the use of Sanskrit language, an English-medium grant-in-aid school in Ahmedabad had organisedthe entire Republic Day celebrations in Sanskrit. The entire 45-minute programme, right from the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ to flag-hoisting and RD parade with the welcome address and patriotic songs ‘Hum Honge Kamyab’ and other cultural programmes was held in Sanskrit by the students. Around 15 students from Class IX and X participated in the programme. The content was simple for all parents and guests to be able to understand.
