Nine teams of 62 Students from different branches of The Amity Group of Schools along with their mentor teachers participated at the recently conducted Odyssey of the Mind Euro Fest 2016, held in Poland. The Schools won over around 12 awards in Long- Term Problem solutions as well as in solving a special Euro Fest Problem on-the-spot, in the mixed group category. The competition facilitated by Dr. Amita Chaunhan, The initiator of Amity’s Children Science Foundation and the chairperson of the Amity Group of Schools to provide with creative platforms to nurture their scientific temperament. In the long term problem category teams from AIS Noida and one from AIS MV won the third prize. In the mixed segment, AIS Vasundhra Sector 6 won the first prize. Both AIS Noida and AIS Saket secured the second position while AIS MV stood third. Besides this, the teams from AIS Noida, also won some special awards including ‘Omer Award’ for showcasing the true spirit of the Odyssey, first prize for Mixed Team City Challenge and Mixed City Coach Comp. Euro Fest is an International educational programme that provides creative problem-solving opportunities to the students from kindergarten to college. The competition this year saw students from over 11 countries as Belarus, China, Germany, India, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, US take part in the same.
