Rajkot city is slowly emerging as an educational hub of Saurashtra. The district registers 100% enrollment at city schools. But the gap between education and students getting prepared for a particular vocation is much wider. Students study to secure higher degrees but fail to choose a career path for themselves. The issue lies in the fact that education is imparted with more focus on books rather than career building. Keeping this fact in mind, the Rajkot district collector for the first time came up with an idea to provide career guidance to students at taluka level. The career guidance was conducted in all the 11 talukas of the district. The 10 day camp ignited a new ray of hope among students towards their future planning.
