CBSE Class XII Result 2016: Marks surge increase toppers bracket

The CBSE Class XII Result 2016 has depicted a pass percentage of an all time high of 83.05%. Announced on Saturday, almost 14000 students this year have got 95% and above and 90000 scoring 90% and above! Girls have fared better than boys in pass percentage and also in the All-India merit list with top 3 ranks bagged all by girls. Amongst the region, Thiruvananthapuram remains the region topper with a huge pass percentage of 97.61% , while the institute with the best pass percentage has been Jawahar Navodaya VIdyalaya with 96.69% followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas with a 95.43%  rate.
Delhi girl Sukriti Gupta from Montfort School is the all-India topper with 497 out of 500 in science. Palak Goyal of Tagore Public School, Pehowa, Haryana, is second with a mark short at 496 and commerce topper Somya Uppal of St Theresa’s Convent School, Karnal, Haryana, is third with 495 marks. Ajish Sekar of PSBB Senior Secondary School, K K Nagar, Chennai is joint-third with 495 in science. Rakshit Malik of Amity International, Noida, topped the disabled category with 487 marks in humanities, while Mudita Jagota of DAV Public School, Faridabad, came second with 485 marks in the same stream. Delhi boy Siddhartha Biswas, who is blind, from Kendriya Vidyalaya, R K Puram stood third with 484 marks in science.
Although Thiruvananthapuram is the region with the highest pass percentage, but the limelight is on the success of the Haryana girls in the examination given the state’s poor sex-ratio. Palak Goyal said girls need not be considered inferior to their male counterparts and that she herself wants to become an engineer. Same is the thought process of Soumya Uppal who aspires to further her education at the prestigious St. Stephens College in Delhi, in economics.
When enquired about the recipe to a national level success, Sukriti mentioned that her strength was she realized that she had her own human limitations. She emphasized on the need of having leisure time for isolation periods to escape from the monotonous and very stressful academic schedule at the highest level.
