The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked its affiliated schools to train its students and teachers first aid and basic emergency care with practical lessons. In a circular published by the board on its website, it has asked its students to ensure that knowledge of first aid is covered under the compulsory co-curricular and disaster management activities and practical training provided to those in Classes VI to X. Schools must encourage its staffs to undergo first aid training.
