The DPS World School made its Bengal Debut in Nadia’s Kalyani. The school is run by the DPS World Foundation, different from the Delhi Public School Society that runs DPS schools in Calcutta and in other areas. The Kalyani institution, off Kalyani Shilpanchal railway station will be functioning from the erstwhile Ideal School, which has been taken over by the DPS World Foundation. All 200-odd students of Ideal School are now a part of the DPS World School.
Louise Khurshid, a life trustee of the Foundation and Salman Khurshid, former external affairs minister were present at the inauguration ceremony.
