E-learning in Schools to Lessen School Bag Weight

According to the State Government’s guidelines, November 30 is the deadline to implement recommendations to reduce school bag weight. Schools are using innovative ways to implement the suggestions. According to the guidelines, both schools and parents must ensure that the school bag’s weight is not more than 10% of the child’s body weight. Schools have been asked to increase the use of e-learning, conduct frequent checks of the weight and make play equipment available. Schools are providing lockers to their students so that they can leave most of their books in schools, asking students to bring 100-page notebooks, increase use of worksheets and revise the time table to fewersubjects.

RN Podar School has set up cinematic studio and helped teachers make student-centric content. Students are allowed to watch video books at home, classroom time is for hands-on activity. Video books are equipped with a softwarethat require to answer question as it plays to keep a check on it if they are attentively watching it or not. According to the recommendations, parents have to see that their ids should carry books only which are required.
