Eight school students from Lakshmipat Singhania Academy got an opportunity to meet our President, Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Children’s Day. The students had an interactive session with our President followed by a photo-session.

Children at Alokdhara, an inclusive Montessori School performed on the occasion of Children’s Day. Guests included members of Rotary Club of Calcutta Samaritan, the school’s patron.

Around 15 children from Premasree, a free residential home for visually impaired kids dabbled in clay modelling and singing at Oxford Bookstore. The workshops were conducted with the help of Apeejay Surendra Group volunteers. Participants made attractive models of vegetables and fruits through the concept of Touch and Feel and sang to the accompaniment of harmonium. The idea was to promote social inclusion and make them feel special on Children’s Day.

Siddhi Charitable Organization gifted lasting smiles with a day-long carnival for around 250 kids from 5 NGOs. Fun-filled games, Dance floor and a sumptuous spread made the special guests feel loved. Kids aged 8-12 went home with loads of goodies too.

Saroj Gupta, Saroj Research Institute, Thakurpukur, celebrated Children’s Day with a magic show, sit-and-draw competition and a cultural programme for kids. Singer Rupankar and Director Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukhopadhyay were present on the occasion.
