Inter School Competition 2016-The Keventer Cup, organized by the Debanjan Sen Foundation, on Sunday, witnessed DPS Megacity overpower the Divine Mercy in a match that ended 3-0 in the favour of the DPS boys. The match was the all important pre-quarter final match of the tournament. Biswaroop Paul scored two goals along with Vanlal Muana’s single goal, which tilted the match in favor of DPS Megacity and ultimately led them to the quarter finals.
In the other match of the day, Future Hope also got the ticket to the last eight, thanks to the double whammy by Sheikh Badal and a lone goal by Sunny Kewat, which ensure that Future Hope didn’t face trouble winning against Gyan Bharti. The match ended in 3-0. Abdul Ejaz on the other hand was the player who made the difference in the match between Albany Hall and Julien Day Kalyani as because he scored two goals which was one more than what Shyam Sudar Ghosh of Julien Day Scored thereby making the score line read 2-1 in favour of the Albany Hall.
The other pre quarter final was won by St. James School as they got a walkover against Bodhi Bhavans on their way to the quarter final. The other sets of pre quarter final will be played on Monday.
