In the recently concluded Inter School Sports Competition 2016 which saw a number of schools vying for the top spot in the Table Tennis contest saw South Point High School girls defeat Bidya Bharati School 3-1 in the final to win the Amiyo Gooptu Memorial Inter-School Table Tennis Championship title on Monday. In the boys’ section, Sri Siksha Niketan beat Kalyani Public School (A) 3-0 to annex the crown. The tournament was organized by South Kolkata District Table Tennis Association at the Bidya Bharati School (Mominpore).

- Priyakshi Roy lost to Satadeesha Dey 11-8, 9-11, 7-11
- Sohona Paul defeated Pubaly Ghatak 11-5, 11-6
- P Roy & S Paul defeated S Dey & P Ghatak 11-3, 11-7
- Priyakshi Roy defeated Pubaly Ghatak 9-11, 11-9, 12-10
- Boys team event:
- Sri Siksha Niketan defeated Kalyani Public School (A) 3-0
- Alok Sardar defeated Biswajit Dutta 11-7, 11-3
- Aniruddha Dey defeated Suman Mondal 11-7, 11-6
- A Sardar & S Sett defeated B Dutta & S Mandal 11-6, 11-9.
