St Xavier’s, Loyola had to leave it late to overcome Anand Niketan School (Shilaj) 3-2 in their boys’ under-14 JG Cup match, held at the JGIS grounds here on Sunday. However, it was Nakshatra, who gave Anand Niketan the lead in the 6th minute, while Aditya equalised for Loyola two minutes later.
Then, Paras gave Loyola the advantage in the 20th minute but the side could not hang on to it as Nakshatra completed his brace two minutes later. Aditya then scored a goal in the 40th minute to hand Loyola a 3-2 win.
