Nutrition is the key to unlock every child’s potential. Well-nourished children are better equipped to fend off diseases. They perform better in schools and colleges and gradually grow up to become more productive member of the society.
A new Global Nutrition Report shows that India has made progress towards ensuring that every child can achieve their potential. From 2006 and 2014, stunting among children under the age of five dropped 48% to 39% which is almost double the rate of decline compared to the previous seven-year period. But nearly four of every ten young children growing up in India ae not getting enough of the right kind of nutrition to help their body and mind grow to their full potential.
