Year old newspapers can also transform several dreams into reality. Pasti Ki Masti contributes to such students and helps them to fulfil their dreams.
Anjali Parihar, 11 years
Anjali lives in a small rented accommodation with her parents along with her two siblings. Anjali reads in Class VI at Mata Parvati Primary School. One of her brothers is a fourth grader and another is just one and half year old. Her father works as a security guard in a company in Ahmedabad. A month ago, Anjali’s parents were in dire need of funds for her school fees and decided to take a drop in the second term. It was then Times Foundation and TOI as a part of the Pasti ki Masti initiative paid her annual fee of 3,500/-
Nidhi Jadav, 11 years
Nidhi studies in a school in Maninagar and stays in a one-room rented accommodation in Danilimda. She secured 75% marks in Class V. Her father works at a manufacturing unit as an accountant and earns 7,000/- a month. Her mother suffers from severe joint disorders but still manages to work as a computer operator. In the past two months, Nidhi’s family suffered severe financial setback and her mother had to sell her gold ornaments to support her children. Pasti ki Masti contributed 3,600/- towards her school fees.
Bhumisha Koshti, 9 years
Bhumisha studies in Class V at a school in CTM. She lives in a chawl on CTM Road along with her mother and younger brother who studies in the first standard. Her mother joined a stitching course and works as a housemaid. Bhumisha aspires to be a teacher and support her family in the future. As she was unable to pay her school fees, the Pasti ki Masti team paid 2,820/- towards her annual school fee.
