TOI-Times Foundation’s Pasti ki Masti campaign paid the fees of three gifted girls who were determined to make their dreams come true but were unable to pay their fees.
- Riddhi Solanki: Riddhi stays with her mother and brother in a chawl near Gheekanta. She is a bright student, studying in class 4. Her father died of heart attack when she was just six months old. Her mother shifted to her parents’ home along with Riddhi and her brother.TOI-Times foundation Pasti ki Masti supported Riddhi by paying her school fee of Rs 2,240.
- Jeel Kuntar: Jeel studies in class 5 at Shivshakti Prathmik Shala at Dariapur. She stays in rented accommodation at Patni Sheri near Swaminarayan temple with her parents and her brother. Her brother recently dropped out from school after failing in class 10 board exams. Jeel wishes to become a teacher when she grows up. Due to financial problems, Jeel could not pay her school fee from November. The Pasti ki Masti team paid Rs 1,680 against her remaining annual fee for the new academic session.
- Grishma Parmar: Grishma lives with her grandmother, her father, and five-year old brother. Grishma’s mother left home four years back and never returned. Her father works as a security guard at an office in Navrangpura. He earns Rs 5,000 a month. Her brother suffers from brain tumour and Grishma’s family spends a lot of money on his care and treatment. Grishma is a bright student and has scored 79% in class 8 and now wishes to become a doctor so that she can treat her ailing brother. She also wants to help poor patients. Pasti ki Masti team paid Rs 1,600 as the remaining fee of her second term.
