Students of schools affiliated to CBSE have to lose more than just missing classes during rain holidays since schools cannot tweak the syllabus or reschedule exams unlike other boards.Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School principal Shobha Raman said exceptions could be made for students of Classes 10 and 12 if all stakeholders consent.Anita Daniel, headmistress of K R Montford School said that several schools fear they would get a bad name if they disobey rules.A few said that they heard rumours that those disobeying the government order could be fined but there was little clarity on this issue.CBSE regional officer, K Srinivasan said that changes in curriculum could be considered only if a large number of schools had problems with it.
