The Dhanwantary Foundation is providing Scholarships for poor students who are financially not strong enough to continue their education. The scholarship is being offered to class IX students and above. According to the founder of the Dhanwantary Foundation Raju Khandelwal, many girl students in particular have been helped by this scholarships. He mentions how 2 girls are pursuing MBBS and another is pursuing engineering which without the dhanwantary scholarship provided to them, would not have been possible. They call their scholarships for girls as Sukanya Project.
The step taken by this foundation Is an eye opener for our society where every year thousands of good students head towards oblivion due to their inability to pursue higher education. If more and more such scholarships can be provided, then many students will no longer fear after passing their class XII with flying marks as to what to do after that. Special mention to the girls child who are thought of as a burden and are often forced to discontinue their education to get them married or simply deployed into the work force.
