St. Vincent’s Technical School was started in 1877 on the grounds where the school now stands. The land was purchased from the railways with the intention of producing trained mechanical and electrical artisan staff to bridge the talent shortage in the railways.
St. Vincent’s was founded in 1919 as one of the 26 Christian Brothers’ schools in India.
