Success comes when there is determination and self-esteem; proved by a 16-year old Harshad Pacharane who achieved success in the SSC examination. Harshad lives with his single mother in a single room of the Dapodi slum. The slum did not have a perfect environment to study. He could not concentrate in his studies because of the constant blaring noise of the loud speakers. He started visiting the Buddha Mandir to study but soon fell ill due to mosquitoes. There landlord offered him an empty room and he used to study day long with an hours sleep at night. His determination and will power helped him achieve 91% marks despite of all such odds.
