Maharashtra Government has suggested 8-hour school day in order to improve learning levels. The suggestion was a part of the state’s 44-page report on the national education policy, which will be forwarded to the Union Government after including citizens’ suggestions. The suggestion was based on the research that showed an eight-hour time was more effective in improving learning outcomes.
