In the ongoing State Swimming competition-The State Age-Group Swimming, held at the Rishra Swimming Club , Anurag Mitra, a class X student of the La Martiniere for Boys have hit headlines by creating not one but two state records. Anurag created the records in the events of 50m and 100m breaststroke event. His timings for the two events are:
- 50m Breaststroke 31.66
- 100m Breaststroke 10.65
Anurag is in the group I of the competition has surely made his school very proud. La Martiniere for Boys and Girls are both well known for their dual achievements in both the fields of academics and non-academics and they have proved this time and again by emerging as genuine champions in several inter school and state level competitions. This just tends to show that “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” is a true phenomenon.
