M-SAARC, hosted by Modern High School for Girls, was an event designed to address issues relevant to India and its neighbouring countries. Around 12 schools, each representing a delegation took part in the two-day event that brought out the best aspects of debating and MUNning. The first day witnessed every delegate voice his/her consent for amendment of a character. During the course of the session, there were quite a number of face-offs between countries. Two crises situations arose on the first day of the debate: Maldives hit by a tsunami and an Indian Airlines aircraft being hijacked on its way to Tokyo. Drug and human trafficking was in focus on the second day of the debate. Afghanistan and Pakistan emerged as the hub of these heinous crimes. Birla High School for Boys won the Best Delegation award. Birla High School, who role played a delegate from Nepal, was happy with the experience. Damayanti Mukherjee, Principal of Modern High School was proud of the effort.
