Powered by Morning Blossom School, and in association with Enfagrow A+, The much talked about Summer Camp 2016 of the city- The Anandamela Summer Camp saw a plethora of fun filled activities over a span of 2 days which included events related to painting, elocution, cartoon drawing, clay modeling, photography, magic shows and many more of such. The build up to this grand event was something that was simple unavoidable. The following jist of the 2 days gives us a better insight into the event at great detail:

  • DAY 1 :

The camp was inaugurated by the celebrity author Shirshendu Mukherjee, accompanied by the Editor of Anandamela, Paulami Sengupta on 10th June 2016 at the South City International School. The event and workshop was hosted by none other than Pranam Roy.

The first workshop was held by the Enfagrow A+ Brain Development’s nutrition expert Dr. Heena Nafis. The parents learnt about the role of nutrition in the brain development of the child in their early years. The session became quite exciting for the toddlers as she quizzed them on whatever she shared in the session. Then after, the events started one by one, with creative drawing and elocution leading the pack. Several talented artists were seen teaching the kids creativity and the art of elocution, including the stalwart Bratati Bandopadhyay. These were followed by a more fun filed and care free magic show, presented by Roshni Sil and Sushmit Basu. The day finally came to an end as the kids took to the stage and amazed everyone with their cute little innocent ‘picked-out-of-the-movie’ moves!

  • DAY 2:

The second day, as promised, started off on a fun-note with a bag full of colourful fun-filled games and workshops. The day, like the previous day, started with a session held by nutritionist Swati Chakroborty which turned out to be an interactive session between the parents, kids and the nutritionist which benefited the parents a lot as they got to learn a lot about child health and nutrition. According to a parent, Mr. Samir Das, the event was like an “eye opener” for him.

After the serious discussions, the students were seen learning about drawing caricatures from noted artist Debashish Deb. Techniques such as those related to cloth colouring and pattern drawing were taught. Timir Baran Majumdar, the renowned clay modeling artist was seen sharing his expertise with the youngsters at the trade of his niche. If the kids thought this was all about it, then they were completely thrown overboard with joy as they saw ace photographer Supratik Chatterjee all set to give his tips to the new age “shutter-bugs”.

All in all, the event saw a two day package of fun, learning and enjoyment compressed into what can be called as a good summer camp for the kids to be remembered for some time to come.
