The Litera Fest was an occasion to remember as 400 students of Mount Litera Zee School, Howrah put up an outstanding performance in front of parents, guests and eminent personalities. The theme of the fest was “acknowledgement and celebration of the socio-cultural diversity of people in different countries”. The senior KG students staged the Chinese umbrella and fan dance, kids from junior KG performed the Sinhala dance, native to Sri Lanka. The students of primary and secondary classes paid tribute to five elements of nature-air, water, fire, earth and space-with Italian folk dance, ballet, western classical dance and Indian contemporary dance performances. The students also staged a comedy skit, loosely based on Sukumar Ray’s Rajar Asukh. The programme concluded with a performance by Bhoomi.
