Five Bengaluru school girls won an award at the ‘Technovation World Pitch Challenge’ in San Francisco for developing an app which caught Narendra Modi’s immediate attention. This app was inspired from his project “ Swachh Bharat ”.
Swasthi P Rao, Sanjana Vasanth, Anupama N, MahimaMehendale and Navyashree B named their application “Sellixo”, an android app which is basically an online marketplace to buy and sell dry waste.
The teens elucidated the features of the app to the audience of San Francisco with their famous punch-line “Why trash it when you cash it?”
