Times NIE School Buzz reports events of several city schools:
- Mater Dei School, Tilak Lane: Mater Dei School, Tilak Lane celebrated its annual day in the school premises. The programme commenced with a prayer dance performed by class-X students. The junior students took to the stage to praise and exalt the Lord and depicted their happiness through the hoopla drill. Students of Class V performed a fusion of Indian dance This was followed by a musical play by Class XI students. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem.
- GD Goenka Public School, East Delhi: GD Goenka Public School, East Delhi was felicitated with the North Star School Award for providing Best Transportation & Exit System. School Principal received the award by the Director of Nehru Planetarium. The event was lightened up by eminent speakers and board members like Kirron Kher, Prof. Dinesh Kumar amongst others.
- DLDAV Model School, Shalimar Bagh: DLDAV Model School, Shalimar Bagh celebrated its annual function themed ‘Appo Deepo Bhava’ at the Talkatora Stadium. School principal presented the report to give the audience a glimpse of the proud moments and achievements of the school in the entire year. While the tiny tots won hearts with their charming dance moves, the senior students enthralled all with Bhangra.
- Bosco Public School, Paschim Vihar: Bosco Public School, Paschim Vihar celebrated its annual day ‘Abhikarsh 2015’. The event began with the lamp lighting by the chief guest. School chairman and manager welcomed the guests florally. Principals from various schools and pre-schools graced the occasion. The programme was an amalgam of various hues and the students spread the colours of peace and happiness. The event concluded with a grand finale soaked in fervours of emotions followed by the National Anthem. Senior coordinator of the school read the annual report. Trail blazers in academics were given on this occasion.
- Modern School, Sector 17, Faridabad: Modern School, Sector 17, Faridabad celebrated the health week for its middle wing students. Various activities were conducted for their exposure towards good healthy habits. A badge was gifted to every child by the teachers to feel for the same. During the week, regular checks of personal hygiene and personality were carried out, which oriented them towards their conduct and a neat turnout. A slogan writing and poster making competition were carried out. A session on dental health care was organised too. The students enacted an advertisement on healthy products and also interviewed the elders for their healthy habits. The week culminated with an award distribution ceremony to crown the ‘Healthy Girl’ and ‘Healthy Boy’. Winners of various activities and competitions were given certificates.
