Times NIE School Buzz reports events at various city schools:

  • RS Junior Modern School, Humayun Road: RS Junior Modern School celebrated its founder’s day at the Sir Shankar Lal Hall of Modern School. School Headmistress welcomed the guests. The chief guest sang a couple of self-composed verses for the children. It was through a harmonious combination of a well-researched script, forceful dialogue delivery, evocative rendition of Vedic chants, melodious songs, mesmerising dances and power packed audio visual slides.
  • Adriel High School: Adriel High School, Rohini, celebrated the International Cuisine Day on 23rd The show was a success where students and parents found a platform to show their cooking talents through a master chef contest held for both categories. School director and principal lauded the efforts of school staff.
  • Guru Nanak Public School, Punjabi Bagh: Guru Nanak Public School organised the two-day annual sports meet. The event began with a welcome speech by the school chairman. The chief guest declared the meet open by hoisting the flag and handling over the sports torch to the best athletes of the school. It was followed by a cultural bonanza of drills and dances. State and national level athletes of the school along with the winners of all the events were awarded certificates, medals and shields in the prize distribution ceremony.
  • Poorna Prajna Public School, Vasant Kunj: Poorna Prajna Public School hosted the sports meet. The chief guest declared the event open. A dance wherein 200 students took part, marked the opening of the sports meet. Trophies and mementos were awarded to the winners. School chairman and principal congratulated the teachers on the successful completion of the event.
  • DPS, Sector 19, Faridabad: A group of 31 students form classes VII to X of DPS, Sector 19, Faridabad accompanied by school teachers visited two villages to spread awareness of the girl child issue and women empowerment through a nukkad natak. The crusade, under the leadership of school principal saw the light of the day through the mission Pehchhan-the identity. The effort of the children touched their hearts as both women and men were found to be in tears.
