Times NIE School Buzz reports events at various city schools:

  • Lotus Valley International School, Noida: With an objective to inspire students to view maths as a dynamic, visual subject that involves problem solving and logical thinking, Lotus Valley International School (LVIS), Noida had conducted an inter-house mathematics quiz for Classes VI-VIII. Several activities such as FaunaMatics and creating LVIS with Tangram shapes were held. The students presented a dance performance depicting place values, angles, 3D shapes like pyramids and cubes and also narrated a story to emphasise the importance of the number ‘zero’. School Vice Principal Indu Yadav complimented the maths department for their creativity.
  • Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini: Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini was awarded with ‘The Hogwarts School Award (Gold)’ for overall performance in every field. The school also won the ‘scholar’ school award for providing the best education in school. Around 800 schools of Delhi and NCR applied for the awards in various categories. 120 schools were shortlisted. Madhur Bhandarkar and Kirron Kher, the Chief Guest for the day handed the awards.
  • Sachdeva Global School, Dwarka: Sachdeva Global School, Dwarka, organised its annual award ceremony. The cultural programme was interspersed with a welcome dance. The valedictory ceremony marked the recognition of the meritorious students who had excelled in the field of academics, sports, science and technology, arts and performing arts. Students were honoured with 100% attendance, most disciplined student and the all-rounder’s trophy by the guests. School Vice Chairman graced the occasion.
  • Mark’s Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh: St. Mark’s Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh, released a book in collaboration with Gimnazija Ptuj, Slovenia. The students of both the schools penned down poems and stories in the book titled Expressions-Izarzi-Abhivyakti. The book was released by Jo ef Drofenik, ambassador of Slovenia, in presence of the chairman and principal of St. Mark’s and others.
  • Apeejay School, Pitampura: Apeejay School, Pitampura, organised the Apeejay Walk on the theme Pradushan mukt meri Dilli Swach sundar meri dilli. The walk was flagged off from the school by Manish Sisodia, deputy chief minister of Delhi. Students from Class III-XI walked from the school holding banners, placards and shouting slogans to draw the attention of the general public. Students performed dances, songs and street plays too. The young eco-warriors succeeded in creating awareness about pollution among the people.
